In 1889 Montana became the 41st state to be admitted into the Union. A Basecamp under the Big Sky on the floor of Ancient Prehistoric Glacier Lake Missoula near Glacier National Park. In the summer of 2018 Montana Basecamp was established in the Heart of Gods Country a land with towering white mountains, teal green rivers flowing in all directions, lakes as big as oceans, water as clear as gin, air as fresh as the summers morning. Montana Basecamp Motorcoach & RV was built on a section of land that had not traded hands since 1913. The old 1913 dairy farm sitting on Heavens door steps in Kalispell Montana was to become Montana Basecamp Motorcoach & RV. Montana Basecamp was alive and well. What started out as a dairy farm then a resting spot for the Motorcoach & RV adventurers is quietly growing into one of the most highly recognized and requested Outdoor Lifestyle Motorcoach & RV Destinations. Our namesake was used for our street Basecamp Drive. Montana Basecamp is a lifestyle, destination, a way of Life for Explorers and the Adventurous. Montana Basecamp is the perfect spot for everyone's journey. Adventure starts at "Your Glacier RV Park" near Glacier National Park. Exploration begins at Montana Basecamp RV Park. Experience a premier family owned RV park that presents a well-spaced, fresh, modern, and professional RV adventure. We are located near Glacier National Park and Historic Kalispell, Montana. A truly well designed and placed RV Park in the heart of Old Montana. The park is surrounded by wonderful mountains bordering Ashley Creek and "The Great Northern Bike Trail". Enjoy a thoughtfully designed layout, trails, dog walk and lot size on this 50-acre slice of geological Heaven. Montana Basecamp sits on a valley floor carved out by an Ice Age Glacier. Montana Basecamp lays at the bottom of this ancient glacial flow that had walls of ice thousands of feet tall and more than 20 miles wide. This enormous glacier filled and slowly pushed from the far north, through Flathead Valley and to the south. Current day craggy peak mountains were too tall for the ginormous glacier to topple but smooth topped mountains were crushed and taken over by the glacial ice flow. This is most noticeable traveling south along HWY 93 towards Missoula. When the Ice Age glaciers receded Flathead Valley was left with an extreme landscape and a valley floor covered with rich soils, rivers and lakes. Now today, Montana Basecamp RV Park provides a thoughtful, convenient and wonderful basecamp for easy access up to Glacier National Park or Great Northern Bike Trail to the heart of bustling downtown Kalispell. Kalispell, MT is experiencing a renaissance across its lands. Take your adventure from Montana Basecamp to a crystalline alpine lake, a fast-flowing glacial river, the top of a craggy peak, or a field blooming with wildflowers at Glacier National Park.
